Success for Sykes
Lightweight Womens 2X at Lucerne Regatta 2010
Australian crews using Sykes boats had great success at the recent World Cup Regatta in Lucerne.

The women's lightweight double of Hannah Every-Hall and Alice McNamara won the Gold medal using Mould 29.  Mould 29 was specifically designed to suit the lightweight women's weight of 57 kg (average crew).  In addition to this recent win, Mould 29 was also used to win the World Championship in 2002 (Causby & Halliday).

The women's double scull of Kym Crow and Sally Keogh took the silver medal in our Mould 13.  Other finalists were Sarah Tait and Sarah Cook who were fourth in the women's pair also using Mould 13.

Without doubt Mould 13 has been our most successful shape winning many gold medals at Olympic Games and World Championships.

The Junior and Under 23 World Championships were also held recently.  Both of these Australian teams were sponsored by Sykes Racing and were supplied with a fleet of 13 boats at no cost.  This support should greatly reduce the touring costs for these developing athletes.
