It is best to clean your slides rails after every session. Wash these with soapy water, then fresh water, then dry them. Also check that there is no material stuck on the surface of the wheels.
Do not spray lubricant into the wheel bearings. This can flush out the grease already in the wheel.
When transporting your boat long distances, it is best to take the seat/s out of your boat. If the seat is tied in the boat, it will vibrate against the slides and can create flat spots or dimples in your slides and wheels. If you want to leave the seat in the boat, then you can place strips of cardboard between the wheels and slides. Cardboard from a Weet-Bix box is our preference for this.
